Here’s What Happened

God sent Craig and me to Mexico on May 5, 1998.

My father arrived a year earlier and started a small mailing list. We didn’t have any financial security. God never promised us grandeur. He only said, “I want you to go. I’ve called you to the nations.” And so, we left our church, family, friends, and security to enter...the wilderness.

Not a single ministry door opened. The businessman supporting us stopped all income. So, we went to prayer. We spent hours a day in prayer and intercession. We contended for the nations! We had incredible experiences in the spiritual realm. The Holy Spirit kept showing us huge keys opening doors to the nations. We decreed and sang in tongues for hours a day.

Our little mailing list grew to a whopping fifty subscribers. My father was a programmer by trade, so he wrote all our online systems. The odd $ 20 a week from love gifts kept three families fed. As the Holy Spirit taught us what prophets were meant to do, we began teaching others. We sent a message online to all the other prophets out there, “If you’re a prophet... we got work to do!” And so, our first prophetic school was born in 1999. It was one of the first of its kind on the internet.

And that’s how we began. Mentoring prophets in the wilderness. We healed their wounds. We learned to equip them. Our mailing list became a school. The school became our door to the nations. In 2002, Craig and I were invited to Switzerland to establish live training for the prophets in the region of Berne.

Our feet didn’t stop. With three little girls in tow, God sent us to find His hidden prophets. Our online school grew and continued to connect us with everyone we met. We’re still connected with prophets today that we reached back then.

We reached them in their caves. We ministered healing as they wept at Brook Cherith. In 2009, our son was born. My father appointed us to apostolic office. He then handed the full leadership of the work to Craig and me. Our construction in apostolic trenches began.

We established ministry centers in California, Mexico, Johannesburg, South Africa, and Berne, Switzerland. God sent us prophetic champions from all over the world.

For the longest time, our ministry involved hours of training, counseling, and deliverance. It wasn’t unusual to get a knock on our bedroom door in the late hours. We were spiritual parents to a team of prophets in desperate need of identity.

Together we learned the power of alignment. Each of us had a place. As apostles, we set structure. God imparted supernatural patterns. We leaned on the prophet’s sniper view and passion to build. It didn’t occur to us that God was revealing a pattern for prophetic and apostolic alignment. We just burned to reveal the heartbeat of Jesus to His church!

We liked our cave of Adullam: small group gatherings, hubs centered around prayer, training, and worship. By then I had around 39 books published. We found our happy place.

Then 2020 happened. The prophetic movement shifted. A call came to prophets near and far, “It’s time to come out of the wilderness! The church is ready for you now. Arm yourself! Build!”

Charisma Media approached us to begin a podcast channel on their network. The Next Gen Prophets podcast channel was born, and we met Dr. Steve Greene. He was the publisher of Charisma and a former Dean of Business for Oral Roberts University. We knew him as Doc–a marketplace apostle who took us under his wing and changed everything. He didn’t sugar-coat it.

“Colette!” he would say, trying to muster as much patience as he could, “Get out of the weeds! God has such big things for you, but you must shift! You can’t stay in the trenches forever.”

The penny took a while to drop. It wasn’t good enough to stay in the wilderness. We had to come out! We had to build.

It was time to assemble the prophetic champions! As an apostle, God had me set protocols for our mandate. I was the glue and each of the prophets a brick in God’s house. We depended on God. We depended heavily on one another.

A metamorphosis took place and further international ministry doors swung open wide. Today, we team up with prophets and apostles across the globe
