Your REAL enemy!

As I write, the rain is pouring down and I feel surrounded in this safe place with the Lord. We landed in South Africa last night and as I spent time this morning just being in His presence, my thoughts drifted to you.

I know how frustrating it can be at times to hear God's promises and feel that they are never fulfilled. Today though I want to remind you that you have an enemy that does not want to see you walk in those promises!

You have cried out to God. You have tried with all your strength - NOW WHAT? Now you turn your attack to the enemies without and within! You see, doubt is an enemy. Fear is an enemy. The circumstances that satan is throwing at you, is an enemy!

Your loving Father desires to give you every good thing He has promised. He is not withholding his hand from you - yet each time He blesses, the enemy steals. So my question to you today is this - WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT? Are you going to become frustrated and say that God has ignored you or let you down? No way!

Instead we will turn our attacks on the real enemy. A good place to start would be to tackle the enemies within! Fear, doubt, bitterness, rebellion... these are the enemies that build up brick walls that hinder God's blessing.

Then take your attacks further - recognize that the hindrances you are facing in your circumstances are not the hand of God. Let us not attribute to God the things that the devil is throwing at us, shall we? No, instead let us embrace this as opportunity to take new land!

So what obstacles are you facing as the week lies ahead of you? Whatever they are, you were born to overcome them. Do not let the devil trick you into blaming them on God. Instead turn them around and make them an opportunity to rise up higher in your faith, hope and love as never before!

As for Craig and I... we look forward to breaking ground here in South Africa and we have appreciated all your prayers and support. We feel you right here with us! We will be posting on Facebook and writing to the lists to give you an update of our experiences.

Looking forward to the week ahead!
